Book projects

Daniel has had the pleasure of being involved with some amazing book projects over the years. From a 3 week epic road trip around New Zealand for Penguin to being present at nine births as part of the New Zealand Pregnancy Book. He is always up for a challenge!

WearableArt

It was a real honor to be asked by Robbie Burton (executive director & publisher at Craig Potton Publishing) along with Meg Matthews (then CEO at World of Wearable Arts) to shoot this amazing project. Ten models, a team of eight stylists and four days shooting. The result is a lavish hardback book which has gained rave reviews.

The New Zealand Pregnancy Book

A years worth of work went into the 432 pages shooting around New Zealand. I photographed seven births, two caesareans, many amazing families and plenty of babies!

Converted Houses

Shooting the material for this book was an epic three-week road trip around New Zealand. I met some amazing people and was lucky enough to see some equally amazing houses.

The Split Apple Thoughtful Food Cookbook

When Penn & Lee from Split Apple Retreat asked me to shoot their food book it was an easy decision. It meant staying at one of the Southern Hemisphere's top luxury lodges shooting amazing food for four days... Bliss.

Another fun project working with the team at World of Wearable Art. The bizarre bra section of the international World of Wearable Art show playfully explores the undercurrent of the feminine brassiere.

This was my first project with Nicola Galloway, Nelson's resident food blogger. Her recipes are proven to entice even the smallest members of the family, including those with special dietary requirements.
